Mexican fiesta comes to Birkenhead

Bakery staff in Birkenhead have been swapping their macaroons for their maracas as they don sombreros and ponchos in preparation for a Mexican fiesta on the 28th May to celebrate the launch of their new fiery Mexican Chicken Baguette.

A Mariachi singer will serenade customers as part of the week-long fiesta offering the new Latino-inspired baguette at half price. Freshly made in store each morning, the sandwich is filled with tender chicken breast, marinated in Mexican herbs and spices - giving lunchtime an extra kick.

The Birkenhead store manager said: “Things are really hotting up at Poundbakery with the launch of our new summer sandwiches and salad bowls. The Mexican Fiesta event will bring customers a taste of Mexico in their lunchbreak, so come down and don’t be afraid to shake those maracas.”
